DSP Spotlight: Lacey Lynn

“Two years ago to this day, I made the best decision ever; I became a Direct Support Professional with ADVANCE. Although my main house is 717, I can proudly say I have worked at least one shift at each location in all positions DSPs can possibly choose to work - Let me tell you, the possibilities are endless!! Growing up on a farm just outside the small town of Elkton, South Dakota I had no clue what I was getting into but I was excited and thus far my only regret is not starting sooner. Never before had I been in a position to take care of anyone but myself however doing so now it seems like a skill I have always known. The memories I have made with all those I have met and supported are indescribable! From going out to eat, to various sporting events, concerts and even a week long trip to Alaska I can truly say I have done way more in my time with ADVANCE then I have ever done and will do on my own which is something I will be forever grateful for! Although my path is unclear at this time, I definitely see myself sticking around ADVANCE to continue to learn the ropes to better support those with disabilities.”

Congrats Lacey! Thanks for everything that you do!
